  • Yeah...

Well, its been a while since I've posted, but whatever.  So, I found out that my family is moving to Georgia this coming summer.  Its cool, I guess...  I'm pretty sure its legit this time.  They've supposedly been close to moving about 5 times since my sophomore year of high school, but my mom sounded like it was really going to happen.  She kind of told me in passing, too, which wasn't that cool, but oh well.  It looks like my older sister and I are going to be the only Texans left in the family after this.  I'm not too sure how to feel about this whole thing.

So, this is summer, part deux

So, I've been home a week now.  It hasn't been the most exciting time, but being a bum has been nice.  Being able to work and being around people will be nice though.  I've been sick since last Tuesday, but I think I'm getting better, which is awesome.  Also, the things I was talking about in the previous post are getting better/are better.  It depends on the issue.  Anyway, this week is the last week I'll be home until the beginning of August.  Sherman, here I come...on Saturday.

    So, This is Summer...

So, I've been home since Friday and it hasn't exactly been a blast.  My older sister was in town for the weekend so that was cool, but now that the weekend is over everyone is back to their lives.  Most of my friends from Lufkin aren't here yet or won't be here all summer.  I'm just waiting to head back up to Sherman and start my job for the summer.  I think it'll help me get my mind off of things that have been bothering me for a while.  I thought that being at home would help me forget about those things, but now that I'm so bored they've hit me full force.  Why can't things just be how they were?  Why do things have to be so complicated?  They shouldn't have to be, but they are and it sucks.

Last weekend was pretty awesome.  Friday, we had XTX formal at Fogo De Chao, which is probably one of the most amazing places to eat in the world!  They just come up to you and give you all of the steak, pork, lamb, or chicken you could ever want.  It just keeps coming and coming!  It was just nice to have a good meal with a bunch of good friends.  Saturday was Sigma formal and that was pretty fun.  It was just another night to hang out with a great group of friends and goof around.  My lack of dancing skills was reaffirmed Saturday night.  What can I say?  I'm a tall, rhythm lacking, white guy.  Overall, it was just a good weekend of hanging out with my friends.

Sunday, reality hit though and I have realized that procrastinating on all of my reading assignments was not a good idea.  Why is it that professors feel the need to assign a ridiculous amount of reading at the very end of the semester?  I believe I have to read more in the next two weeks of my life than I have all semester.  Its absurd, but I suppose it is my fault for not spacing it out.  Anyway, if you need me for anything over the next two weeks I'll probably be in the library.  Oh, how I love Abell!  Its a great place to chill.

This coming weekend I'm going to Prarie Valley, outside of Waco, to do a Kidquake with the ACtivators.  It should be interesting since I've never done one before.  Oh yeah, I also got a job with Project Transformation for the summer, which means I will be living in Sherman all summer long.  Sorry, to any of my friends back home who may have wanted to hang out.
